Ayo playboys,

here am I again with another useful script designed to help you map making ninjas. This time I bring you guys Who THIS (Who ToucHed It Script), a simple, small and light script that allows the player based triggers (buttons and move triggers) to take actions based on the player who used/moved over them (and not only!).

° Utilization

It is actually pretty simple to use, you just add a trigger entity on the map and set it to trigger either:

wthisC <insert CS2D console command here>
- if you want to execute a CS2D command or/and...
wthisL <insert Lua command here>
- if you want to execute a Lua command or/and...
wthisT <insert entity name here>
- if you want to trigger an entity with an ID based name

And use one of the codes that will then be replaced with their respective function: >
Extremely detailed illustration/example, althout I recommend you to analyze the demo map >

° Installation

Just paste the contents of the zip on your root directory.

° Notes

• I'm planning on expanding the script in the future
• You can't use commas on the commands because CS2D will identify them as a new entity to trigger
• Therefore to use commas you'll need to instead write
\44
, and then the script will auto replace it with a comma
• I highly recommend you to analyze the demo map on the editor to understand how the script works
• You are free to pack this script with your maps as long as you proper credit me
• If you want a feature to be added, changed or removed, be sure to comment about it
• Yank is failed attempt of having a meme

So yeah fam, hope this helps u out makin' sum real gangsta maps!

@user VADemon: True that but, doesn't the trigger_if run that risk aswell ? And yeah, I wonder how there isn't any big lua mapping toolset out there... At this point I'm thinking about creating one.

Anyways, thanks to y'all

I love map editor extensions, but I'm concerned about security.
Maps should be considered untrusted user code and hence there are many possibilities to exploit wthisL and wthisC.

Nice, yanananaki-kun. Definitely useful for mappers if they're expanding their mapping horizons or some nifty map/script integrations.

Pretty useful. Would be good on next update, what about
wthisL
to execute LUA command. Example:
wthisL print Player %ID_Name% are using button
So we can see use-button logs.
