Though I have little doubt, that S3 will have models of good quality, I expect a good game overall. But not least DC finds himself perhaps under some pressure by SII Titanium and regarding graphics and other stuff, of course.

I look further on your mod and I beg you: Don't give up on making it even better (until we have stranded 3, after that we all should just forget about stranded II)!

Do people really ask if you are married with DC? lol

I would also like to see inhand models in your mod, just like in stranded 2.5.

Huh... in any case the performance has not been much improved, quite the contrary...

In the editor the performance is strongly decreased, if there are many objects in view. I'm going to fix that soon, because it's quite annoying for me, too...

(but in game mode everything should be fine)

I would prefer a complete model of the player with all the animations needed. In that case I would maybe work out a 3rd-person view mode, which I would like to see in SIII by the way...

But unfortunately I'm not a very good animator.

Of course many models can't be found and must be made by oneself, but good sources are OpenGameArt or TurboSquid. But as a rule you often still have to convert models, textures, adjust hue, contrast or other things...
Especially nearly the whole tropical vegetation was mostly cobbled together with plants and palms from OpenGameArt. I just had to add a few more palms generated by tree[d], some other simple bushes, and also still had to made the banana and coconut palm on my own.

Maybe you certainly should...

I think I'm going to upload the whole pack of models in their raw format (.ms3d) soon. They should be easily to convert to OGRE format. But by the way... Some few models I found came along with such "normal maps" used for some advanced light techniques and multitexturing stuff, which is not supported by Blitz3D. So I would recommend to try some original stuff first, like this plant, if Ogre3D supports such techniques/textures like normal or bump mapping...
