From a programmer's standpoint:
No.
He might to be able to use some of the ideas for technical problems, but not the code itself.
or did you simply suggest that because you like CS2D more and think that way CC would become better? that would be nonsense of course.

the AI bots are totally noobish... it looks like that they are hold left arrow (or right arrow) 6 seconds and shooting after 1 second... no matter where he is, he every time falls into water...
there is better AI available in the file archive.
nevertheless: note that Carnage Contest is a multiplayer title and that it is pretty impossible to make the AI as smart an human opponent. it's VERY complicated for a computer to analyze and understand Carnage Contest environments and to make clever decisions because everything is dynamic and can depend on single pixels.

if you want messages to appear then do this in-game. future versions will support that (Lua scripted game modes)

Missions are a new feature in next release? ^^,
(because I don't know if that's already in current one, lol)
its the smartest AI, and also quite hard!
